Password Reset and Recovery

The password reset system allows a user to change their Active Directory/Email password whenever necessary.  The system contains a set of features that allows a user to create challenge questions for account authentication in the event a password is forgotten.

Prior to using the system, users must first Enroll in the Password Reset System.
 
First time users to the system will need to create their list of challenge questions which, once complete, will allow the user to recover their account in the event a password is forgotten.

 Login Format

When logging in to the password reset system, you must use your full email address or specify your domain.  See Examples below.

Use your full email address as your username: t.test@concordhotels.com
OR
Use your domain\username as your username: CONCORD\t.test

and enter your current password in the "Password" field.

 Password Complexity

Concord passwords must be at least eight (8) characters in length and comply with the following requirements:

  • Uppercase Letter
  • Lowercase Letter
  • Number
  • Special Character (!,@,#,$,%,etc)
  • Cannot be in Palindrome
  • Cannot contain 5 consecutive characters from user name
  • Cannot contain any of the following patterns: "querty, asdf, 1234, concord, password, courtyard, marriott, residence, hyatt, hilton."

 

 Invalid Passwords

Passwords will not work if they:

  • Contain any part of your Concord Username
  • Contain any part of your Full Name
  • Are the same as one (1) of your previous ten (10) passwords
  • Do not meet the "Password Complexity" requirements listed to the left.
